Hours before the Playstation announcement, we’re getting details on what the supposed spec of the Kinect 2 will be!

First up, it’s said that its going to ship with every Xbox 720. The Kinect 2.0 is rumored to have a new sensor for infrared detection. This will change the depth resolution to 512×424. The view field will be increased to 70 degrees horizontal and 60 degrees vertical.

The Kinect 2.0 will sport a brand new camera with a resolution of 1920×1080 and video will stream at 30 fps. The Infrared detection sensor will work better in situations with poor light as well.

The new Kinect will be USB 3.0.  A wider viewing angle will give it the ability to detect 6 players, as well as removing the need for a tilt motor. Thankfully, it will have the ability to work around furniture as well.

We’re looking forward to finding out more!
