The official Foursquare app for Windows 8 is now available for download.
While most folks would prefer to use their phones for checking in, serious Mayors can now use the Windows 8 app to check in too, or to discover where to go before leaving, as that what the app is clearly geared towards more.
The app is beautifully designed and takes full advantage of Windows 8, using the Share and Search Charms both work perfectly.
Frankly the only problem I can find is that the map doesn’t allow pinching to zoom, or any kind of interaction really, which is a shame as everyone has come to expect these basic gestures in an online map.
Hopefully an update can fix this quickly.
