If you’re a budding DJ, singer or even a wannabe music manager, you may be interested in a new start up called MyBeatz.
Oh, and before you ask, no, the site has nothing to do with Beats Electronics, despite the similar name.

It’s an interesting new take on the music industry and allows multiple artists to collaborate on a track at the same time, and from anywhere in the world.

The cool part is that you don’t have to create an entire track before you can work with others, if all you have is a good chorus written or a great guitar instrumental, once you invite other artists to work with you, the pieces fall into place and a song comes together.

But if you’re not the creative type and prefer to manage and check the accounts (people actually enjoy spreadsheets?) then you’re in luck as MyBeatz isn’t just for musicians but producers, managers, radio hosts and of course, journalists.

The site is free to join for a basic membership and supports sharing to Facebook and Twitter along with sign up via Facebook and Google+.

It’s too early to say if MyBeatz will revolutionise the music industry the way it wants to, but with the right amount of support and users it could be huge in the not so distant future.
