So it’s nearly here and we’re calling geeks of all shapes and sizes. No matter if you’re into sci-fi, gaming, comics, cosplay, anime or all the above! The first ever MCM Ireland Comic Con is touching down to Dublin’s RDS for a weekend jam-packed with geeky goodness. We’ll be at the event covering all the behind the scene madness and to get you in the mood, here’s a nice video of the London version of the event, focusing on the Cosplayers.
The organisers have already announced a host of special guests for the weekend including Warwick Davis (Star Wars, Harry Potter, An Idiot Abroad), Lyndie Greenwood (Sleepy Hollow); Eoin Macken and Alex Vlahos (Merlin), Colin Ferguson (Eureka, Haven), Hannah Spearritt (Primeval), and Red Dwarf stars Danny John-Jules and Hattie Hayridge.
And that’s not all; anime fans will get the chance to meet two top voice actors – Maile Flanagan, the voice of Naruto, and Bryce Papenbrook, who plays Eren Yeager in Attack On Titan.
Not your cup of tea? Well, the Comic Village has a score of comic big wigs including, Eisner Award-winning artist Glenn Fabry, Simon Bisley and John McCrea.
Still not peaking your interest? Okay well, other events during the course of the weekend incldue, a League of Legends eSports tournament; hourly live matches and training demos by the stars of Main Stage Wrestling, a retro-gaming zone; onstage talks and panels; a full Cosplay Masquerade and, of course, more retail stands than you can shake a very floppy lightsaber at!
