Well Sony wrapped up this years press conferences at E3 and they packed a lot into their 2 hours on the stage. Here’s a breakdown of the main announcements of the night:

 

Destiny

The show started with a lengthy video showcasing Bungie’s epic new IP and how it will come to PS4 first with an Alpha release for the PS4 this Thursday and the BETA release on July 17th. There will also be a slew of exclusive content for the PS4 version with a special edition white PS4 launching as part of a bundle with Destiny on Sept. 9th. The bundle will retail for €439. A brand new game from Pixel Opus called Entwined launched last night on the PSN which has a design theme similar to Journey mixed with an endless shooter. Have a look at the trailer below.

Little Big Planet 3

Much to the joy of many of the audience members, Media Molecule have returned with Little Big Planet 3 for the PS4. With new playable characters such as Oddsock and Toggle, this iteration is aimed at multiplayer fun. It will be out this November and you can see the trailer below:

BloodBorne

This title from Hidetaka Miyazaki and From Software is a new PlayStation exclusive IP coming in 2015. The exciting and gruesome looking new game is the spiritual successor to Demon’s Souls.

Far Cry 4

We got to see some gorgeous in-game footage of Ubisoft’s Far Cry 4 set in and around the Nepal area. We also got to see some 2 player co-op with rampaging elephants thrown in for good measure! Far Cry 4 is set to launch November 21st and we can’t wait to see more of it!

Dead Island 2

Following on from their ground-breaking first trailer for Dead Island, Techland returned last night to the Sony conference to show off their newest trailer for the next instalment, Dead Island 2. We love the humour and extremely realistic visuals on display here:

Diablo III Reapers of Souls: Ultimate Evil Edition

Naughty Dog and Diablo III have teamed up to bring the creatures of The Last of Us to Diablo III Reapers of souls in exclusive in game content:

Grim Fandango

Tim Shafer’s and Double Fine’s much loved game is getting remade for the PS4 and PS Vita later this year much to the crowd’s adulation.

Indie Content

Sony have signed a deal with Devolver Digital to bring indie hits such as Hotline Miami 2 and Not a Hero to the PS4:

Let it Die

Suda 51 also showed off his brand new gore-filled IP, Let it Die coming exclusively to the PS4 next year:

ABZU

A brand new game from the new studio, Giant Squid, founded by Matt Nava, who was Art Director on beautiful hit games such as Journey and Flower:

No Man’ Sky

This amazing looking Sci Fi game from the guys at Hello Games will be a console exclusive for the PS4 and will have each individual player starting their adventure and a totally unique planet. We can’t wait to see more of this stunning looking game.

Playstation Now Open BETA

Sony announced that the Playstation Now Open BETA will arrive for North America and Canada on July 31st with Europe and Japan to follow soon after. In a press release, Sony said they aim to price the rental system between $3-$20. They also announced it’s arrival on select Sony Bravia TVs later this year.

Youtube Sharing

Later this year, by simply clicking the Share button on your Dualshock 4, you’ll be able to share you gaming footage to your very own Youtube channel. This got a big round of applause from the audience.

Mortal Kombat X

We finally got to see some exclusive in-game footage of Netherrealm’s next instalment in the Mortal Kombat franchise, Mortal Kombat X. The game is set to release next year:

Playstation TV coming to Europe

Originally released in Japan as the PS Vita TV, the newly named Playstation TV is a little box that you hook up to your HD TV that allows you to stream PSP, PS1, PS2 and PS3 games and also remotely play PS4 games on different TV in the house. No euro price has been announced and we expect the device to launch some time next year in Europe:

Original TV Show ‘Powers’

Sony is set to launch it’s first original TV content in the form of comic book adaptation called Powers, based on the comic of the same name. The show is set to arrive later this year and all PSN customers will received the first episode free while all PS+ members will received every episode free of charge.

The Last of Us Remastered

The newly remastered The Last of Us is set to arrive July 29th exclusively on PS4:

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain

We were treated to a nice long trailer to Hideo Kojimas latest Metal Gear instalment, The Phantom Pain which is set to launch early next year:

Grand Theft Auto V on PS4

With a few leaks prior to the press conference, the news many gamers were waiting for was finally made official, Rockstars epic open-world game, GTA V, will arrive on the PS4, along with the Xbox One and PC, later this year. We can’t wait to take Trevor for a spin in this remastered Los Santos!:

Batman: Arkham Knight

Just watch the trailer below to see how amazing this game looks! We’re so disappointed that it was delayed until next year but I guess we have enough other games to keep us busy until then:

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

To wrap up the 2 hour conference, Sony showed us an absolutely gorgeous trailer for the upcoming Naughty Dog instalment for the Uncharted franchise. We’re told that all the footage was captured entirely off the PS4 and we can’t believe just how good it looks! Have a look for yourself:
