Vodafone Ireland has today announced its new RED Roaming offer which will allow consumers and enterprise customers to enjoy all their usual calls, texts, and add-ons, from their base price plan* while they’re away, plus 100MB¹ of data a day to use as they wish for a fixed daily rate. The daily price for RED Roaming varies by region starting from as little as €1.99 a day for visitors to the UK. Travellers heading to Europe, USA, Canada, and Turkey can enjoy RED Roaming for just €2.99 a day while those heading further afield to Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, China, India, Hong Kong and Egypt will pay just €4.99 a day.

Vodafone customers can opt into the RED Roaming package via text (free text Red to 50020), online at Vodafone.ie or through retail outlets.  The new RED Roaming tariffs will commence on June 29th and are automatically effective for existing RED Roaming customers once they make or receive a call, send a text or use data when abroad in one of the RED Roaming countries. Smartphone users can now stay connected in the same way as they do at home.

Commenting on the 2014 RED Roaming offer, Marcel de Groot, Consumer Director, Vodafone Ireland said, “Vodafone customers have proven that they prefer to roam freely around the world whether it is for work or personal travel. These roaming offers now allow our customers to use the full range of capabilities that their smartphone allows with ease, all for a great daily rate with no hidden charges.”

“Our customers are only charged the daily fee on the days when they use their phone when roaming; there are no nasty surprises on calls, texts or data making the way in which customers use their mobiles while abroad easier than ever.”

The offer is available to all Prepay customers and to Consumer & Business Billpay customers on RED, RED Business and My Way tariffs from 29th June 2014. The same pricing applies to Consumer and Business customers; however prices will be quoted excluding VAT to Business customers.
