Earlier this year, YouTube announced that they will be rolling out the ability to upload and view videos in glorious 60 FPS framerate and it appears that that feature has finally been turned on. There are some caveats for this launch though, you must be using the Chrome browser and watching the video in HD but when you get everything working, it looks amazing and it will be hard to go back to the old way of viewing!

Right now, there are only a handful of videos that you can watch to appreciate this new framerate option but we expect that number to increase rapidly in the coming days with more and more people uploading their 60FPS creations. This ability is going to great particularly for gaming videos and for showcasing games that run at this framerate. Below are some of the first supported videos for the new framerate and boy do they look good!
