Update: Irish has now been added to the Windows Phone app.

Popular translation app Duolingo has finally arrived on Windows Phone, after a long campaign of users asking for it.

The app is free and allows users to learn a variety of languages and also works via any web browser and incorporates microphones to help with pronunciation.

Speaking in a Reddit AMA, Duolingo CEO Luis von Ahn explained that “thousands of requests” were the reason they decided to develop for Windows Phone.

You can download Duolingo for Windows Phone, iOS or Android and it’s cool to note that it even has Irish as a language course.
