After previously being announced by Jeremy Clarkson and Co. a few weeks back, Amazon Prime Video has now been made available to customers in over 200 countries with Ireland being one of them. The massive expansion can be seen as direct competition for Netflix and, with Amazon’s repertoire of quickly growing original content, they are putting up quite a fight.

When first signing up to the service, users can avail of a 7 Day free trial and then an introductory price of €2.99/month for 6 months with this increasing to €5.99/month after the 6 months. That’s quite an impressive price in comparison to Netflix’s recent price increase to €9.99 for their Standard package here in Ireland.
