Samsung Galaxy Book S, Galaxy Book Ion & Galaxy Book Flex Coming to Ireland
Samsung Ireland has just announced that a trio of its new Galaxy Book ultra-portable devices are coming to Ireland. Starting in June, (exact date is TBC) the new Galaxy Book S, Galaxy Book Ion and Galaxy Book Ion will be available to purchase on Samsung’s official online store and via leading third party electronics retailers such as Harvey Norman as well.
All three laptops are thin and light, but also have appear to have a very impressive fit and finish. Following on from the success of their Galaxy line, these new laptops are sure to please both avid Samsung fans with their functionality and general consumers looking for something different then your typical black slab laptops.
All three laptops feature QLED screens, the first time Samsung’s own display technology has appeared on a laptop. They also support the Wireless PowerShare feature (built into the trackpad) that we have seen on the Galaxy S20 and Note 10 products so you can keep your Qi-enabled devices topped off even if you are out and about without any cables available. Simply set the device down on the touchpad after flipping the switch on Wireless PowerShare. All 3 laptops also come with 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD storage.
The Galaxy Book Flex and Galaxy Book Ion are powered by 10th generation Intel Core processors, WiFi 6, and Thunderbolt 3 so you have the latest and greatest inside both computers. Both these computers were co-engineered with Intel as part of the Project Athena program.
The Galaxy Book S is slightly different as it’s the first laptop to be powered by Intel’s new Lakefield i5 Core Processor which is a five-core hybrid processor that’s packaged with Intel’s 3D Foveros technology.
The Samsung Galaxy Book Flex and Book S are available in 13.3 while the Galaxy Book Ion is available in both 13.3″ and 15.6″ models. You can find more info on all three models below.

There’s also WiFi 6 on board with an expected 17 hours lifespan for video playback. For the QLED display, you can expect a peak brightness of 600 Nits in its ‘Outdoor Mode’ which is very impressive for such a lightweight and slim device.
