REVIEW: 2020 Hyundai IONIQ 38.3kWh - Is it better than a Nissan LEAF?
Here is our review for the 2020 Hyundai IONIQ with the now larger 38.3kWh battery. Derek Reilly looks at the exterior and interior along with taking it out on the road.
The 2nd generation model had some fresh new design elements such as the redesigned front grill and comes with a number of advanced driver assistance systems. It has a 10.25 inch touch screen infotainment screen and button type shift-by-wire drive mode selectors.
In the IONIQ Electric, you switch between drive, neutral, reverse and park by simply using the buttons conveniently located in the centre console. The electric parking brake is here as well. It frees up space in the centre console for two cup holders and practical wireless charging compartment for Qi-enabled smartphones.
Derek has to also bring up what is known as “Charge-gate” and dismisses it as nonsense because he feels this will be a perfect EV for you if it suits your situation.
