OPPO Ireland has just announced that their newly unveiled Find X3 line of smartphones is coming to Ireland. The three handsets offer some impressive specs for their varying price points and can be seen as direct competition to the likes of Samsung’s Galaxy S21 line and Apple’s latest iPhone 12 range.
All three handsets will ship with Android 11 and will run OPPO’s ColorOS with the Find X3 Pro arriving with version 11.2 and the Neo and Lite models coming with version 11.1. They also have full Google app and Google Play Store support. You can find out more about each of the handsets below.
OPPO Find X3 Pro
This is Oppo’s flagship model and comes with all the bells and whistles you’d expect from a flagship in 2021. Under the hood, you’ve got Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon 888 chipset with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. There’s a 6.7″ AMOLED screen with QHD+ resolution, HDR10+ support and an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate thanks to its LTPO panel.
The display is driven by a 10-bit-full-path Colour Management System which captures, stores and displays photos in full 10bit and is capable of reproducing over 1 billion colours. This impressive sounding display is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and also has a in-display fingerprint scanner along with the punch hole in the upper left hand side of the display for the 32MP Selfie camera.
Around the back of the device, you’ll find the quad-camera system which is housed in quite a unique camera ‘hump’. Making up the four lenses are a 50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture and OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide camera for ultrawide shots with f/2.2 aperture and autofocus, a 13MP telephoto camera capable of 5x hybrid zoom and 20x digital and then a 3MP Microlens, which is arguably the most interesting lens of them all.
With its own dedicated light ring, this particular camera is almost like a portable microscope that allows you to zoom in up to 60x on an object’s surface to see details the human eye simply can’t see. We’re really looking forward to playing with this feature in our full review but here are some sample Microlens shots of a butterfly’s wing OPPO Ireland shared with us.
Some final key specs include a 4,500mAh battery, 65W SuperVOOC fast charging, 30W AirVOOC fast wireless charging (via OPPO’s own proprietary wireless charging stand) and 10W reverse wireless charging along IP68 immersion protection. The phone’s dimensions are 163.4 x 74 x 8.3 mm and it comes in at an impressively light 193g.
OPPO Find X3 Neo
Next in line is the newly announced OPPO Find X3 Neo will also feature a 6.5″ FHD+ AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate instead of 120Hz. Under the hood, there’s Qualcomm’s 2020 Snapdragon 865 processor along with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The camera setup on the back of the Find X3 Neo will have the same 50MP main camera as the Find X3 Pro with a f/1.7 aperture and the same 13MP telephoto camera, but the ultra-wide camera will be 16MP and a 2MP macro camera. Up front, there’s the same 32MP Selfie camera as found in the Pro.
When it comes to battery life, the Find X3 Neo will have the same 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging like the Find X3 Pro but won’t support wireless charging unfortunately. Finally, the phone has an IPX4 water resistance rating and its dimensions are 159.3 x 74 x 7.99 mm, with a weight of 184g.
OPPO Find X3 Lite
Finally, OPPO’s entry level handset in their new X3 line of phones is the OPPO Find X3 Lite. Unlike the curved front displays of the Pro and Neo, The Find X3 Lite will have a flat 6.44-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen but will also support an in-display finger print scanner. It will also support 90hz refresh rate.
Powering the X3 Lite is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. This phone’s quad camera setup consists of a 64MP main camera with f/1.7 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP macro camera, and 2MP ‘mono’ camera which we’re still trying to find out what that actually means. Up front, there’s the same 32MP Selfie camera as found in the Pro and Neo models.
Other specs for the Find X3 Lite include a 4,300mAh battery with 65W charging and IP52 water resistance. There’s also a headphone jack and the phone’s and the phone measures in at 159 x 74 x 7.9 mm and weighs 180g.
