Master & Dynamic MW75 ANC Headphones Review | TheEffect.NetDesign & Features

The MW75’s standout feature lies in its sleek, minimalist appearance, appealing to those who aren’t keen on the ‘dull black plastic’ look of many other over-ear headphones. Crafted with plush, adjustable leather ear cups, the headphones ensure comfort for any head size. The stainless steel and aluminium frame lends a premium touch.

Available in a total of 7 different colour variants (we tested the ‘silver metal/brown leather’ version), each with distinct metal pairings, they arrive with a protective, compact hard-shell case which, while on the larger size, is ideal for safeguarding against scratches while on the move.

The MW75 incorporates user-friendly controls for volume, track navigation, and call handling. These controls, which are ‘clicky’ and responsive, made switching between ANC and transparency mode pretty seamless. The call quality with the built in microphones was also plenty clear, when we asked our friend how we sounded on the other end.

Comfort-wise, the snug earcup fit and gentle padding make the MW75’s comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I found them especially enjoyable during cool weather as they provided warmth while strolling outdoors.

Users can also use the dedicated M&D Connect app to tweak additional settings on the MW75’s like adding some bass via the ‘Bass Boost’ option or performing software updates for the headphones via the app.

Audio & ANC Quality

The MW75 excels in sound quality, boasting 40mm beryllium drivers that deliver rich, detailed sound with excellent frequency separation. The headphones provide a well-balanced sound profile, with warm midrange, extended bass, and detailed treble, faithfully reproducing various music genres. Particularly for more acoustic-focused music, the headphones offer an immersive sound stage that I found captivating.

Master & Dynamic MW75 ANC Headphones Review | TheEffect.NetActive noise cancelling technology was also pretty effective in blocking external noise, especially on the lower sound range and it help me to focus on the caller on the other end when on a call in noisy environments or while traveling.

Battery Life

Battery life stands as another strength of the MW75, while not as momentous as Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless‘s 60 hour playtime, they offer an impressive 24-hour playtime on a single charge. Additionally, a quick-charge function provides 6 hours of playback with just 15-minute charge, ensuring continued usage even with brief charging intervals.

Master & Dynamic MW75 ANC Headphones Review | TheEffect.NetConclusion

The headphones faithfully reproduce music and excel in active noise cancellation, catering well to travellers and those in bustling environments. Their impressive battery life ensures extended usage, while their collection of features, performance, and quality justifies their premium pricing, making them a valuable investment for audiophiles.
