At an official launch event in Milan today, OnePlus has unveiled a range of new devices across their entire portfolio. The new OnePlus Nord 4 was finally made official along with the new OnePlus Pad 2, Nord Buds 3 Pro wireless earbuds and an updated Watch 2R. OnePlus Nord 4
The OnePlus Nord 4 is notable for its metal unibody construction, making it the only 5G phone of its kind on the market. The device is crafted from a single piece of aluminium and is 7.99mm thick, marking a return to metal smartphone designs. OnePlus has addressed technical challenges to include compact 5G antennas and a redesigned motherboard, which allow the phone to maintain its sleek design while ensuring efficient signal reception. The Nord 4 comes in three colours: Obsidian Midnight, Mercurial Silver, and Oasis Green.
The OnePlus Nord 4 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 chip, offering significant performance improvements over previous models, with a 65% faster CPU and 130% faster GPU. It supports up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of storage. The device features a 5,500mAh battery with 100W SUPERVOOC charging, capable of charging fully in 28 minutes, and includes OnePlus’s AI Battery Health Engine to prolong battery life. Additionally, the Nord 4 includes several AI tools for productivity and photography, such as AI Speak, AI Summary, AI Writer, and photo editing features.
The camera system includes a 50-megapixel Sony sensor with Optical Image Stabilization, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 16-megapixel selfie camera. OnePlus has also promised four major Android updates and six years of security updates for the Nord 4.
OnePlus Pad 2
The OnePlus Pad 2 is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform and features a 12.1-inch 3K display along with six stereo speakers. It is designed to enhance productivity and entertainment, compatible with accessories like the OnePlus Stylo 2 and OnePlus Smart Keyboard. Key features include internet sharing, media syncing, and clipboard sharing with OnePlus phones, as well as NFC file transfer and seamless device switching through App Relay.
The tablet supports AI tools such as AI Speak, Recording Summary, and AI Writer to aid productivity, and includes visual content editing features like AI Eraser 2.0 and Smart Cutout 2.0. Its 12.1-inch display provides vibrant visuals with a dynamic refresh rate, while the six speakers offer high-resolution spatial audio. The OnePlus Pad 2 also includes a 9,510mAh battery with 67W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge, offering long battery life and fast charging. It features an 8MP front camera, a 13MP rear camera, and a slim, lightweight design with a durable metal unibody.
OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro
The OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro are the company’s new mid-range TWS earbuds featuring hybrid adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) capable of up to 49dB noise reduction. The ANC works across a wide frequency range to cancel out various sounds, from traffic to high-pitched noises. They also include scenario-based Smart Noise Cancellation and Crystal Clear Call technology with a triple-microphone setup for clear audio during calls. Transparency Mode allows users to hear their surroundings without stopping their music.
For audio performance, the Nord Buds 3 Pro have a 12.4mm tetanised driver with a TPU diaphragm and titanium coating, delivering deep bass and dynamic sound. BassWaveTM 2.0 technology enhances bass frequencies, and the Master EQ feature offers Balanced, Serenade, and Bass modes for sound customisation. When it comes to battery life, the earbuds provide up to 44 hours with the charging case, support fast charging, and use Bluetooth 5.4 for stable, low-latency connectivity. They have an IP55 water and dust resistance rating, making them suitable for various environments. The earbuds are lightweight and come in a pebble-shaped case with a matte finish.
OnePlus Watch 2R
The OnePlus Watch 2R is an OnePlus’s new accessible smartwatch that delivers flagship features. It offers a 100-hour battery life, similar to the OnePlus Watch 2, powered by the Dual-Engine Architecture combining the Snapdragon W5 performance chipset and the BES 2700 MCU Efficiency chipset. This dual-chip system ensures efficient power management, with the Snapdragon W5 handling intensive tasks and the BES 2700 managing simpler ones. The 500mAh battery can be fully charged in 60 minutes with 7.5W VOOC Fast Charging. The watch runs on Wear OS 4 by Google, includes 2GB RAM and 32GB ROM, and integrates Google apps like Assistant, Maps, Wallet, and Calendar.
For fitness and wellness, the OnePlus Watch 2R features the upgraded OHealth app, supporting over 100 sports tracking modes, including specialised modes for badminton and running. It includes dual-frequency GPS for precise tracking and offers detailed running metrics. The watch provides advanced sleep tracking, measuring various sleep stages and breathing rates, and monitors stress through heart rate variability.
Available in Forest Green and Gunmetal Gray, the watch is 25% lighter than its predecessor and is built to withstand tough conditions with 5ATM and IP68 ratings.
