Dyson’s new wet floor cleaner, the Wash G1, has now launched in Ireland and is designed to replace conventional mops. It employs two counter-rotating microfibre rollers to efficiently remove spills, debris, and even dried-on stains in a single pass.
The integrated extraction pump removes excess water, ensuring floors are left dry and “barefoot clean”. Dyson claims a single litre of water can clean up to 290 square meters.
The Wash G1 features microfibre rollers with 64,800 filaments per square centimetre, ensuring efficient water distribution and effective cleaning of even stubborn stains and debris.
Two independently powered rollers rotating in opposite directions enhance cleaning efficiency. A 500-micron mesh separates dirty water from larger debris, collecting them in a 0.8-liter tank for easy disposal.
The machine’s internal design is said to minimise dirt build-up, and the tanks have wide openings for easier cleaning.
Additional features include omni-glide casters for balance and manoeuvrability, a low head for cleaning under furniture, and a self-cleaning mode. A dedicated charging stand stores and recharges the battery.
