REVIEW: Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2

The Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2 earbuds are quite a unique offering, with some notable upgrades from their first generation sibling, they pack some state-of-the-art technology with user-centric design. The Elite 10 Gen 2s will appeal to audiophiles, professionals, and technology enthusiasts, providing refined aesthetics, exceptional audio quality, and a comprehensive feature set. Below is our full review.

Design & Build Quality

The Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2 arrive in a sleek, compact charging case crafted from durable plastic. The case features a magnetic closure that securely holds the earbuds in place, ensuring they won’t fall out even during intense workouts. 

The earbuds themselves are incredibly lightweight and comfortable to wear for extended periods thanks to their ergonomic design.

Additionally, their secure fit ensures they won’t fall out, even during any intense workouts. Boasting water resistance, these earbuds can withstand rain and sweat, making them ideal for outdoor workouts and rainy days.

The included USB-C-to-USB-C charging cable serves several purposes. Primarily, it allows you to charge the case via a USB-C port on the bottom. But it also enables LE Audio transmissions from anything with a USB-C or aux output. (The wire cleverly works in a 3.5mm adapter.)

To get started, simply connect the case to a source and press the button on the front to establish a connection to the earbuds. This feature worked seamlessly in testing with both a TV and an old school radio set up. Between this transmission ability and the wireless charging support, this is one of the best earbud cases I’ve tested.

Performance

The Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2 earbuds provide consistently impressive performance across various aspects.

They establish a really solid Bluetooth connection that remains stable even in crowded areas and busy public transport like the Dart train service here in Dublin. The button controls are highly responsive as well and it’s very handy the ability to tweak their functions via the Jabra+ app for Android and iOS. 

Sound & ANC Quality

The Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2 earbuds excel in sound quality, delivering clear, well-balanced audio with impressive bass response.

The 6mm drivers produce rich and immersive sound, making every listening experience enjoyable. The active noise cancellation (ANC) is exceptionally effective at blocking out ambient noise, whether it’s the hum of an airplane engine or the chatter of a busy office. This feature is particularly useful for creating a truly immersive audio experience, allowing you to focus on your music, movies, or podcasts without distractions.

Battery Life

The Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2 earbuds offer a substantial battery life of up to 7 hours on a single charge, which can be extended to 21 hours with the charging case. This is within the average range for true wireless earbuds but sufficient to last you through a full day of use. Additionally, the earbuds support fast charging, enabling you to gain an hour of playback with just 10 minutes of charging.

This feature was very handy when we needed a quick power boost one of the days during our review and is definitely something all earbuds should include as standard, given how reliant we are on them for our daily commute/time in the office.
