Red Bull Basement has opened applications for its 2024 edition, offering entrepreneurs and student innovators in Ireland the opportunity to bring their ideas to a global stage. The winning Irish team will represent the country at the World Final in Tokyo, Japan, in December 2024.
Participants can submit their ideas through an AI-driven platform that helps create a one-page business plan. The competition is open to anyone aged 18 and older, currently residing in Ireland, with submissions accepted until October 31st, 2024.
After the submission period, ten teams will be shortlisted to present their ideas at the Red Bull Basement National Final, scheduled for November 13th, 2024, in Dublin. The selected team will then advance to the World Final in Tokyo, where they will compete with teams from over 40 countries.
The global winner will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Silicon Valley and Los Angeles in 2025, where they will participate in a three-week accelerator program, including mentorship and networking opportunities with industry leaders.
Previous Irish participants have seen success through Red Bull Basement. Clara Fergus and Harsh Chandra, who represented Ireland in 2021, developed a career guidance platform, CareersXP.
In 2020, Joanna Power and Paramveer Bhachu advanced their water-saving washing machine concept into a growing business.
