OPPO has launched the Find X8 Pro in Ireland, its first flagship phone in several years. Designed to compete at the high end of the smartphone market, the device combines cutting-edge hardware with a range of advanced features. Below is a breakdown of some of the Find X8 Pro’s key features.

The Find X8 Pro is equipped with a 6.78″ OLED display featuring a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel peaks at an impressive 4,500 nits brightness, offering excellent outdoor visibility.
The design incorporates “micro-curving,” a subtle curvature on all four screen edges, which OPPO claims will offer increased comfort and aesthetics without compromising app visibility. The phone is also rated IP68/69, providing protection against water immersion and high-pressure jets (for whoever wants to use this phone in a jacuzzi/car wash).
Camera System
The camera system, developed in collaboration with Hasselblad, includes four 50MP sensors:
- Main Camera: 1/1.4” Sony LYT-808 sensor with an f/1.6 aperture for enhanced low-light performance
- Ultrawide: f/2.0 aperture for wide-angle shots
- 3x Periscope Telephoto: f/2.6 aperture for mid-range zoom

OPPO highlights the dual-periscope setup as a first for Western markets, enabling increased zoom capabilities.
AI-enhanced features like “AI Telescope Zoom” are said to further improve telephotography by sharpening details at extended zoom levels.
For video capture capabilities, all four 50mp rear cameras, including the 32MP Selfie camera up front, can record Dolby Vision HDR video at up to 4K/60fps.
Battery & Charging
The device is powered by a 5,910mAh silicon-carbon battery, offering robust longevity. It supports 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, with magnetic charging accessories available. However, these require a compatible case, as the phone does not support Qi2 wireless charging directly.
Performance and Software
At its core, the Find X8 Pro runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, delivering flagship-level performance. The phone debuts with ColorOS 15, which focuses on fluidity and AI-driven enhancements. Key software updates include:
- Improved Touch Response: 18% faster touch response and 40% better stability.
- AI Tools: Features like AI Eraser for removing unwanted objects in photos, AI Clarity Enhance for improving image resolution, and AI Reflection Remover for glare-free images.
- AI Productivity Suite: Includes an upgraded AI ToolBox for contextual assistance, with tools like AI Summary, AI Writer, and AI Reply integrated into apps for enhanced workflow efficiency.

Launching with Android 15, OPPO promises five years OS updates and six years of security updates, ensuring compatibility through to Android 20, alongside security patch support until 2030.
Unique Hardware Features
The phone introduces a touch-sensitive haptic camera button for launching the camera app, capturing photos, and controlling zoom. A unique alert slider on the side of the device mirrors functionality seen in other OPPO-affiliated brands like OnePlus.
