HONOR has officially launched the Magic7 Pro and it’s making its way to Ireland in just a few weeks, following its debut in China last year. Below is a breakdown of the key specs and features of the new device.
MagicOS 9.0: AI Integration for Productivity
The Magic7 Pro runs on MagicOS 9.0, an AI-driven operating system designed to enhance user experience. Its standout feature, Magic Portal, enables intuitive interaction with on-screen content, supporting instant text and image recognition alongside quick access to apps.
Magic Portal is compatible with various apps, which will be handy for users jumping between social media, entertainment, travel, and shopping apps. Improved semantic understanding should also help navigation to entertainment apps through landmarks or film references.
Other productivity tools include AI Translation, supporting 13 languages, and HONOR Notes, featuring AI Summary and AI Minutes to help users summarise notes and extract insights from transcripts.
Google’s new AI assistant, Gemini, comes pre-installed, offering AI assistance tailored to on-screen content. Gemini extensions will also provide quick access to services across Google apps like Maps, YouTube, Flights, and Hotels. It supports real-time brainstorming through its “Live” mode, handles mid-sentence changes, and follows up effectively.
When it comes to The Magic7 Pro’s cameras, there’s a 50MP Super Dynamic HONOR Falcon Main Camera with a 1/1.3-inch sensor and f/1.4 adjustable aperture, a 50MP ultrawide Camera ,and a 200MP Telephoto Camera, with a 1/1.4″ sensor and f/2.6 aperture.
The HONOR IMAGE ENGINE combines device-cloud AI to help improve overall image quality, with features like Harcourt Portrait Modes and AI Enhanced Portrait also making their way onto the new handset. AI Super Zoom offers a 30x to 100x range for distant scenes, and AI Motion Sensing aims to help users capture fast-moving subjects.
Battery and Gaming Performance
With a 5270mAh silicon-carbon battery, the Magic7 Pro delivers reliable performance even in low temperatures. It supports 100W wired and 80W wireless HONOR SuperCharge, achieving a full charge in just 33 minutes using compatible chargers. The 4-in-1 HONOR E2 Chip optimises power management.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite platform should also deliver the best gaming performance on an Android device. The Qualcomm Oryon CPU and Adreno GPU, combined with AI Real-Time Rendering and AI Predictive Scheduling, provide stable frame rates.
Eye Comfort Display
The Magic7 Pro’s 6.8″ LTPO OLED display prioritises eye health, featuring Circular Polarised Light, 4320Hz PWM Dimming, Circadian Night Display, and hardware-level low blue light reduction. The HONOR NanoCrystal Shield offers superior durability with resistance to drops, dust, and water.
