Samsung has formally introduced the Galaxy Watch8 Series, Galaxy Z Flip7, and Galaxy Z Fold7, its latest line-up of wearables and foldables. The new devices feature refinements in hardware design, battery life, and software, with several AI-powered additions aimed at improving health tracking, productivity, and usability.

Galaxy Watch8 Series

The Galaxy Watch8 Series arrives with a thinner build and an upgraded sensor array, headlined by a new 3nm processor and improved battery life. The display now reaches up to 3000 nits brightness, enhancing visibility outdoors, and the dual-band GPS is intended to improve location accuracy during workouts.

Samsung has introduced more detailed sleep tracking with the addition of Vascular Load monitoring, as well as a new Bedtime Guidance feature. There’s also a carotenoid-level scanner built into the BioActive sensor—a first for a smartwatch. The series supports running analysis through a new personalised coaching system and includes integration with Google Gemini via Wear OS 6 for voice-activated functions.

Galaxy Z Fold7

The Galaxy Z Fold7 is thinner and lighter than previous models, coming in at 215g with a reduced folded thickness of just 8.9mm. Hardware changes include a redesigned hinge, stronger materials, and a more compact internal layout. The main screen is an 8″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with support for high refresh rates and improved multitasking tools.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 | TheEffect.NetUnder the hood, it features a processor shared with the Galaxy S25 Ultra, improved thermal performance, and long-term software support, including seven years of updates. The camera system includes a 200MP wide sensor, 12MP ultra-wide, and 10MP telephoto lens, with AI enhancements for photography and video editing.

Samsung has incorporated several Galaxy AI tools, such as generative photo editing, contextual assistant features, and productivity-focused features like real-time screen sharing and multi-window drag-and-drop.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 | TheEffect.NetThe competition from the likes of HONOR and OnePlus when it comes to more refined and sleeker foldable devices seems to have really made Samsung sit up and pay attention and the new Z Fold7 is definitely them paying attention.

Galaxy Z Flip7

The Galaxy Z Flip7 brings a larger 4.1-inch Flex Window display, allowing for expanded functionality without opening the phone. The main display is also larger, matching the width of Samsung’s S25+ device. Battery capacity has been increased to 4300mAh, the largest yet for a Flip device.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 | TheEffect.NetThis model features the same processor found in the Fold7 and Galaxy AI features tailored to the Flip form factor. FlexCam has been improved with a zoom slider and AI-powered auto-framing. The camera system includes a 50MP wide and 12MP ultra-wide sensor, with HDR10+ support and improved low-light performance.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 | TheEffect.NetThe Flex Window also now supports additional widgets, more third-party apps, and deeper personalisation with options for custom wallpapers, fonts and layouts. Samsung has also introduced a Flip7 FE variant, offering the same folding format at a more accessible price with slightly lower RAM and storage.
