Xiaomi 15T | TheEffect.NetThe Xiaomi 15T features a triple camera system co-engineered with Leica, which includes a main, ultra-wide, and telephoto lens. The camera system has been designed for versatility, offering focal lengths ranging from 15mm to 92mm. At the core of the main 50MP camera is a Leica Summilux optical lens with an ƒ/1.7 aperture. This is intended to improve detail and colour reproduction, particularly in low-light conditions.

The phone’s camera hardware is supported by Xiaomi’s computational photography platform, Xiaomi AISP 2.0. This platform includes features like PortraitLM 2.0 and ColorLM 2.0, which are designed to enhance images by refining depth perception, tonal range, and colour fidelity. A new Master Portrait mode introduces bokeh effects, such as “Wide” and “Bubbles,” and gives users the ability to individually adjust aperture effects and focal length. Additionally, a Leica street photography mode allows for quick capture from the lock screen and provides access to classic focal lengths of 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, and 75mm.

A key feature is Xiaomi Offline Communication, which enables direct voice communication between Xiaomi 15T devices up to a distance of 1.3km without the need for cellular or Wi-Fi signals. This is intended for use in remote areas where traditional networks may be unavailable. The Astral Communication suite also includes the Xiaomi Surge T1S Tuner, which uses GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular signals for stable and adaptive connectivity. This system works with a Super Antenna Array and AI Smart Antenna Switching to optimise signal performance.

The Xiaomi 15T will also ship with Xiaomi HyperOS 3, which is making its global debut on the device. The new operating system includes enhanced multitasking features, faster app launches, and redesigned interface elements. System-level intelligence from Xiaomi HyperAI and enhanced interconnectivity across devices are intended to improve productivity and seamless content sharing.

The phone features a 6.83″ display, which is the largest on a Xiaomi Series smartphone to date. The screen has a peak brightness of up to 3200 nits and a 1.5K resolution. The display supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and incorporates 3840Hz PWM dimming to reduce screen flicker.
