First and foremost, the breast feeding world is a daunting place and getting started on your journey can be scary. There are tons of different breast pump options all claiming to be the best. Let’s be honest, when it comes to baby tech and accessories, it can be very overwhelming so when I found out I had the chance to review the eufy Wearable Breast Pump, I was very excited.

Eufy Wearable Breast Pump S1 Pro Review | TheEffect.NetFrom my research online, I knew that I’d want a hands-free pump as the thought of being connected to the wall while milk was sucked from my boobs didn’t rest easy with me! I was also really intrigued by Eufy’s ‘HeatFlow’ technology which is the first wearable breast pump to have this function.

Opening the box, you really get a sense that this is a premium product, there has been a lot of thought put into the presentation and also the product itself.

Eufy Wearable Breast Pump S1 Pro Review | TheEffect.NetIn the box you receive the instruction manuals for both the pump and the storage case, a measuring booklet so you can choose the correct size flange for your nipple to sit in the pump, a selection of flange sizes, two hands-free pumps, the charging cable and two covers for the breast pump (to be used without the storage case).

Eufy Wearable Breast Pump S1 Pro Review | TheEffect.NetThe pumps are already assembled, so your first point of call is to follow the instructions to disassemble the pumps or, to save you some time, simply download the app and you will get a step by step guide. Following the manual’s instructions, it took me a few times to read how to disconnect the motor from the pump (I blame baby brain!) but once you get it, it’s very straightforward. The motors are already charged so once you have cleaned the pump parts (not the motor) you’re good to go.

Eufy Wearable Breast Pump S1 Pro Review | TheEffect.NetOn the motor itself, there is an on/off button, a button to change the heating and then a button for the pump, this button has two settings, a quick pulse to encourage let down and then a longer pulse to extract the milk. You can increase and decrease the temperature and the force of suction by using the +/- buttons.

Eufy Wearable Breast Pump S1 Pro Review | TheEffect.NetThese are the basic preset options which are set on the motor as default, however, there is an app that comes with this pump ‘Eufy Baby’ and in here you can choose bespoke settings to make this product work best for your needs. I would highly recommend using the app as this makes the pump completely hands-free and allows you to change the settings easily. You can also track milk output manually after each session.

The most exciting feature about these pumps, which I think makes it stand out from other pumps on the market, is the ‘HeatFlow’ technology. This is the first wearable breast pump to have this unique feature. There is a heating element built into the back piece of the pump that sits on your breast.

This feature encourages faster let down which is an amazing benefit for us busy mums. The temperature can be controlled on the motor itself or through the app and ranges from 35 to 40 degrees celsius with 7 different options.

The app features Eufy’s inhouse technology ‘OptiRhythm’ which is their unique settings for the rhythm in which you pump. The pumps are automatically set to ‘Standard’ however when you go into the app there are 4 other options, ‘Max’, ‘Standard’, ‘Gentle’ and ‘Natural’. These switch between stimulation mode and expression mode for different time lengths depending on the mode you choose. This really makes your experience the best possible for your needs.

Another benefit to these pumps is just how quiet they are. I really noticed this from other breast pumps on the market which can be very noisy. The Eufy Breast Pump S1 Pro boasts an ultra quiet 46db, giving you privacy while on the move.

The pumps also come with a gorgeous storage case which provides on the go battery and allows the pumps to last up to 5 days without being plugged in. This would be amazing if you were travelling and don’t need to worry about plugging them in to charge.

Eufy Wearable Breast Pump S1 Pro Review | TheEffect.NetMy only negative with this product is that you have to sterilise the parts by boiling them in a pot for 5 minute each time you want to use it. I find this really tedious and it would be so much better if I could use the microwave instead. It also states in the instruction manual that some of the parts may need to be replaced within as little as three months of use.

Conclusion

All in all, the Eufy Wearable Breast Pump has really impressed me. It’s easy to use, super quiet and the HeatFlow feature makes a real difference when expressing. The app is handy for adjusting settings and tracking sessions, and the storage case is perfect for mums on the go. While sterilising the parts can be a bit of a pain, it’s a small trade-off for such a smart, well-designed pump.
