OnePlus has announced three new products spanning smartphones, tablets and wearables: the OnePlus 15R, the OnePlus Pad Go 2 and the OnePlus Watch Lite. The new devices sit below the company’s top tier flagship offerings and are intended to deliver core performance and everyday features at more accessible price points.
OnePlus 15R
The OnePlus 15R is positioned as a performance focused smartphone that sits just below the company’s main flagship line, The OnePlus 15. It is the first device to launch with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 mobile platform, a chipset that OnePlus says has been co-developed with Qualcomm over a two year period. According to the company, the new processor delivers improvements to CPU, GPU and AI performance compared to the previous generation.
The phone is paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, a combination that is now common among higher end Android devices. This setup is intended to support fast app loading, smooth multitasking and improved data transfer speeds.
Battery capacity is one of the more notable specifications. The OnePlus 15R includes a 7,400 mAh battery, supported by 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging. OnePlus states that the battery is designed to retain at least 80 percent of its original capacity after four years of use. The company is also using Silicon Nanostack battery technology, which increases energy density within the battery cell.
The display is a 6.83″ LTPS AMOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. Brightness can reach up to 1,800 nits in high brightness mode, while also supporting very low brightness levels for darker environments. An ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is integrated into the display, and OnePlus has included a dedicated touch response chip to improve touch sensitivity, particularly at higher refresh rates.
Camera hardware is relatively straightforward. The rear setup consists of a 50 megapixel main camera using Sony’s IMX906 sensor and an 8 megapixel ultra wide camera with a 112 degree field of view. On the front, there is a 32 megapixel camera with autofocus. Video recording supports up to 4K at 120 frames per second, with on device editing capabilities highlighted as part of the overall performance story.
In terms of design, the OnePlus 15R is available in Charcoal Black and Mint Breeze. Both finishes use what OnePlus refers to as Velvet Glass, aimed at improving grip and feel. The device carries multiple protection ratings, including IP66, IP68 and IP69.
OnePlus Pad Go 2
The OnePlus Pad Go 2 is the company’s latest mid range tablet and follows the original Pad Go. It features a 12.1″ display with a 7:5 aspect ratio, which is intended to better suit reading, writing and multitasking compared to more conventional widescreen formats. The panel offers 284 pixels per inch, wide colour coverage and support for Dolby Vision.
The tablet is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra chipset. While it does not aim to compete with flagship tablet processors, OnePlus says the chip has been selected for consistent performance over time. The device has received TÜV SÜD certification for long term fluency, suggesting a focus on maintaining responsiveness as the tablet ages.
Battery capacity is rated at 10,050 mAh, with support for 33W SUPERVOOC charging. OnePlus quotes up to 15 hours of video playback and extended standby time. The tablet also supports reverse wired charging, allowing it to provide power to another device if you do charge something up.
For the first time in the Pad Go range, the tablet supports a stylus. The OnePlus Pad Go 2 Stylo is sold separately and is designed for low latency input and fast charging. Software features include Open Canvas multitasking, which allows multiple apps to be used on screen simultaneously, along with AI assisted tools such as AI Writer, AI Recorder and AI Summary.
The Pad Go 2 is available in Lavender Drift and Shadow Black. The Shadow Black model includes a SIM card tray, enabling direct 5G connectivity. The tablet can also share a data connection from a nearby OnePlus smartphone, using less battery than a standard hotspot connection, according to the company.
OnePlus Watch Lite
The OnePlus Watch Lite is positioned as an entry level smartwatch focused on health tracking and everyday fitness features. It offers a simplified software experience compared to OnePlus’s higher end watches and is designed to prioritise battery life and ease of use.
Health features include a 60 second Wellness Overview, which provides a summary of heart health, sleep and stress data. This is supported by ongoing tracking through OnePlus’s Mind and Body Evaluation system, which aims to identify patterns in activity and rest.
The watch supports more than 100 workout modes, including a selection of professional sports profiles. Running specific features include lactate threshold detection, while Dual Band GPS is included for improved location accuracy. A heart rate broadcast feature allows the watch to transmit data to compatible fitness equipment.
The Watch Lite runs on a real time operating system designed for efficiency and OnePlus claims up to 10 days of battery life, with a short 10 minute charge providing around 24 hours of use. The watch can be paired with two phones at the same time, including mixed Android and iOS setups.
Physically, the Watch Lite measures 8.9mm thick and weighs 35g. It uses a stainless steel case and a 1.46″ AMOLED display with a peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits in sports mode. Aqua Touch technology is included to improve screen responsiveness in wet conditions.
