The smart home market in Ireland is getting a bit more crowded this week with the official arrival of Roborock. Known globally for their automated floor care, the company is making its debut in the Republic through an exclusive partnership with Harvey Norman.
While robot vacuums are nothing new, this launch introduces a few models that highlight how much the tech has moved on from simple “bump and turn” machines. The timing is notable, as Irish consumers increasingly look for integrated AI to handle mundane domestic tasks.
The Initial Line-up
Rather than dumping a massive catalogue into the market at once, the launch focuses on three specific models ranging from high-end robotics to more budget-friendly options. Each unit sits under 8cm tall, allowing them to clear most standard furniture legs and kickboards.
Saros Z70: The flagship model, priced at €1,299, is notable for its “OmniGrip” five-axis robotic arm. This allows the vacuum to physically pick up and move light objects like socks or slippers (up to 300g) rather than just vacuuming around them. It features a massive 22,000 Pa suction power and a comprehensive dock that handles everything from 80°C hot water mop washing to self-emptying.
Saros 10: Retailing at €1,099, this model focuses on low-clearance cleaning. It uses a “RetractSense” navigation system to lower its sensors and glide under couches and beds that standard robots usually can’t reach. It shares the same 22,000 Pa power as the flagship and features a “VibraRise 4.0” system that scrubs floors with 4,000 vibrations per minute.
QV 35S: This is the entry-point model at €499. While more affordable, it still includes a multi-functional dock that self-empties and washes its spinning mop pads. It delivers 10,000 Pa suction and uses “Reactive Tech” to detect and avoid furniture and pets in real-time.
Local Presence and Availability
If you are looking to see these in person, they are currently exclusive to Harvey Norman. Pre-orders have already opened, and the units are scheduled to go on general sale on 18th February.
