Dyson used its Unveiled event in Berlin to lay out the next stage of its “intelligent machines” push, and it’s a much bigger reveal than the CameraJet toothbrush the company showed off on September 1st.

Chief Engineer Jake Dyson framed the whole showcase around a shift from purely mechanical devices to machines that can “see, think, and respond,” and that philosophy runs through everything announced on the day, from robot vacuums to hair straighteners.

There’s a lot to get through, so here’s what’s actually landing, what it does, and when Irish shoppers can expect to see it on shelves.

The Nurovi Robot Range Gets Smarter

Dyson’s robot vacuum lineup has been rebranded as Nurovi, combining what Dyson calls Neural Intelligence with a new vision system. Two models are part of this announcement.

The R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry is the headline act. Instead of the circular mopping pads most robot mops use, it’s fitted with Reuleaux triangle pads, a constant-width shape that Dyson says gets into corners far more effectively than a round pad ever could.

Water is heated to 75°C at the dock to help lift stubborn stains, and the new Twin-capture system splits debris pickup between mechanical brush bristles for larger debris and suction for fine dust, which should mean less reliance on raw suction power alone. An acoustic piezo sensor reads dust levels and floor type in real time and adjusts behaviour accordingly.

The R1 Nurovi Dry is the simpler, dry-only version, sharing the Twin-capture tech with 21,000 Pa of suction. It also gets a redesigned side sweeper system engineered to guide debris into the airflow path rather than scattering it, while cutting down on hair wrap around the bristles.

HushJet Brings Aircraft-Inspired Airflow To The Whole Range

Dyson’s HushJet design language, first seen on the Compact Purifier and Mini Cool Fan, is now spreading across the wider air purifier, heater and cooler lineup.

The idea borrows from aviation: Dyson engineers studied how aircraft manage turbulence to reduce noise at speed, and applied the same thinking to airflow around the home.

Three new purifiers use this HushJet Nozzle design. The Big+Quiet Cool Pure+ Formaldehyde+UV is the largest and most powerful model in the range, built for multi-room purification with a low pressure, high flow compressor and three-stage filtration that Dyson claims captures 99.999% of pollutants down to 0.01 microns, while still running quietly.

The Pure Cool+ Formaldehyde+UV is the mid-size option, promising up to three times the purification power of its predecessor in a more compact footprint, plus personal cooling.

The Hot Cool Pure+ rounds things out as Dyson’s most powerful 3-in-1, combining purification, heating and cooling in one unit for year-round use.

W1 PencilWash Gets A Refresh

The W1 PencilWash, an update to the wet floor cleaner Dyson launched earlier in 2026, has been reengineered with a more absorbent roller, a hygienic waste system, and self-cleaning technology built into the dock.

It keeps the same lightweight, slimmer design the original was built around, so the grab-and-go convenience Dyson leaned on for that launch carries over here.

Corrale CoolShine Straightener Cools As It Styles

Dyson’s hair care side got a genuinely interesting update with the Corrale CoolShine. It builds on the flexing plate technology from the original Corrale straightener and adds a cooling attachment fitted with heat-extracting pipes containing a small, precisely controlled amount of water.

As heat is applied to style the hair, those pipes actively draw excess heat away, rather than just letting it build up and dissipate on its own.

Dyson is claiming up to 29% less heat damage as a result, along with up to 154% more shine versus untreated hair and styles that last up to 24 hours.

It’s a sensible evolution rather than a reinvention, but drawing heat away during styling rather than after the fact is a genuinely different approach to the hot-plate problem.

Airsmooth Is Dyson’s First Dedicated Hot Brush

The Airsmooth rounds out the hair care announcements as Dyson’s first dedicated hot air brush.

It uses a patented dual bristle system, combining anti-snag bristles that use a looped structure to release strands easily with PivotFlex bristles that flex up to 90 degrees to diffuse high-pressure airflow and cut down on frizz.

Dyson says the two bristle types are arranged in a teardrop formation and work together across all hair types, from straight to curly and coily.

Heat control measures temperature 100 times a second, and the Airsmooth runs on universal voltage, so it should travel well for anyone who styles on the go.

MyDyson Aims For A More Proactive Ownership Experience

Alongside the hardware, Dyson used the event to talk up MyDyson, its customer service platform.

The pitch is connected intelligence, predictive servicing and expert human support working together so machines get looked after before something actually goes wrong, rather than owners having to notice a problem first.

This is a genuinely broad announcement, and coming just two days after the CameraJet reveal, it’s clear Dyson wants September to be remembered as the month it repositioned itself as an intelligence company as much as an engineering one.

The Nurovi range and the HushJet purifiers are the most substantial updates here, with real functional reasoning behind the design choices rather than intelligence for its own sake.

The Corrale CoolShine is the standout on the hair care side, tackling heat damage from a genuinely different angle instead of just adding another setting.

None of these are dramatic reinventions of what Dyson already does well, but there’s enough real engineering underneath the marketing language to take them seriously.
